In this class, you will learn to paint and alter paper to create interesting patterns and textures. We will play and experiment by testing different mixed media techniques and types of paper, and you will have an opportunity to create your own collection of unique papers to incorporate in your abstract collages or other mixed media art. This workshop is appropriate for beginners and anyone working with collage, journaling, altered books, and mixed media painting. The intent is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive setting where participants can challenge themselves to respond intuitively to art, unleash their creativity, and ask a lot of questions.
